Korn Law Office (registered seat: 11367 Budapest, Hollán Ernő u. 21/B., Hungary, tax number: 18091100-2-41, statistical number: 18091100-7411-131-01) as the data controller (hereinafter: Data Controller) is managing its customers’ personal data (hereinafter: Customer) solely in connection with providing them and delivering legal services, business or financial advisory services, and coaching. The personal data processed by the Data Processor is necessary for fulfilling the purpose and to complete the services deliverable to the Customer. The Data Processor is processing personal data only to the extent and for the period necessary.

The Data Processor is protecting its Customers’ personal data processed in connection with the abovementioned activities by all means reasonable.

The legitimacy of data processing: The subject’s consent as defined in Act CXII of 2011 on Informational Self-Determination and Freedom of Information, and Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament, furthermore the provisions regarding invoicing in Act C of 2000 on Accounting.

Consent to data processing: The Customer explicitly consents - in a separate declaration - to the processing of their voluntarily shared personal data in connection with the abovementioned activities.

Scope of subjects: Customers using the abovementioned services, persons signed up for the newsletter.

Scope of data processed: Personal data shared by the Customer, or the persons signed up for the newsletter that is necessary to deliver the services.

Purposes of data processing:
  • Completing customer identification as prescribed in Act LIII of 2017 on the prevention and combating of money laundering and terrorist financing (“Pmt.”)
  • Delivering legal sevices
  • Performing assigned legal representation and ancillary assignments
  • Identification of, contracting, communication with and contractig third persons in connection with assigned legal representation
  • Settling fees, expenses and invoicing
  • Case register management
  • Document management in line with the applicable policies and laws
  • Concluding performing and invoicing contracts made with lawyers, advisers
  • Data processing in connection with consultancy services
  • Newsletter distribution

Recipients of personal data: The employees and contractual business partners of the Data Processor.

The period for which the personal data will be processed: The Data Processor manages the personal data only in the extent and period necessary to fulfill the purpose of the data processing. The personal data are deleted within 15 days of unsubscribing from the newsletter.

Profiling and algorhytmic decision making: The Data Processor does not utilize solely algorhytmic based decision making in relation with the Customer, and does not use profiling for its Customers.

Customer’s rights in connection with the data processing:
The Customer may request information on the processing of their personal data, may request to have their personal data corrected or amended. The Data Processor shall delete or restrict the processing of the Customer’s personal data based on the Customer’s request and if certain conditions apply.

The Customer may – in certain cases – use its right to data portability and may object against the legitimate processing of their data.
The Customer has the right to withdraw its consent to data processing.
The newsletters include the link to unsubscribe at the bottom.
The Data Processor shall respond to requests described herein in the shortest time, but no later than within 10 days, in easily intelligible language and in writing. May the Data Processor find the Customer’s request justifiable; it shall immediately act on the correction or deletion of the Customer’s personal data.

Enforcement of the abovementioned rights by Customer:
The Customer may contact the Data Processor by mail addressed to the Data Processor’s registered seat, or e-mail sent to the Data Processor’s email address, or by phone, or in person at the Data Processor’s registered seat.

May the Customer not be satisfied with the Data Processor’s response, they may turn to civil courts and the Hungarian Data Protection Authority ( www.naih.hu/kapcsolat.html ).
